Welcome to my Business Management online portfolio
A Little about myself:
My name is Blong Vang, I am currently pursuing my associate of science in Business Management at Saint Paul Technical. I will have completed my first year by spring of 2010.
Before I began in pursuit for my AS, I was running to a dead end with jobs that offers minimum compensation and high expectation. Most of my jobs in my life were high intense labor, redundant, and repetitive. In my thoughts, I have a whole life ahead of me and I do not have the physical capability as I once did. I have a beautiful wife and a beautiful son. So I've decided that I was going to do something for a change. So I took the opportunity in the recession that we are faced with to improve my education by taking the first step, go back to school to gain some levels.
When I have completed my entire course, I will continue my education in a different field to merge the skills that I have inherent to form an entity. My motives at the moment are to open a restaurant or a liquor store. Cooking is my favorite hobby except the cleaning part where I have to wash the dishes. A genre of food I would like to specialize in my restaurant is Thai food. Eventhough, it's not as large as Chinese food in America, I believe the food is more involved in quality rather than quantity in the market you see today. I love the famous herbs and spices that create the flavor as known as curry which are use to make the most delicacy dish. There are many authentic Thai dish that can be mention but that's another story….
Here is some of my favorite dish that I love to cook myself. The pictures do not belong to me; it is credited to the proper author or website.
The first picture is the famous "Pad Thai" dish. This dish is well known among the Asian community.

The second picture is "Chicken and Potato Curry." Though it may look like vomit, it's deceiving in appearances. It's actually very delicious.

The third picture is "Laab" pronounced laa'. This dish is actually considered a salad. Laab contains over 9 spices and herbs with mint leaf on top of the finish good.
